😂 HUMOR: the most underrated strategy for growth? [sponsored]
🔑 Key points:
Humor is one of the top lever for growth, and also one of the most cost-effective strategies.
Humor creates a sense of understanding, bridging the gap between you and your audience.
Humor increases “word of mouth” - when we laugh, we want to share that moment with others.
Humor helps brands stand out because it requires them to be bold and put themselves “out there.”

🚨 Instagram confirms test of ‘unskippable’ ads
Instagram confirmed it is testing unskippable ads after screenshots of the feature began circulating across social media. These new ad breaks will display a countdown timer that stops users from being able to browse through more content on the app until they view the ad, according to informational text displayed in the Instagram app.
“We’re always testing formats that can drive value for advertisers,” a Meta company spokesperson explained. “As we test and learn, we will provide updates should this test result in any formal product changes,” they noted.

🧐 Why you should care: This new format is going to be disruptive. As an advertiser, be conscious of the impact these units will have on the user experience and make sure they bring value to your audience.

Who is telling the truth?
🧐 Why you should care: The battle between TikTok/ByteDance and the U.S. Congress has only begun. While it may being some interferences, users are still flocking to the platform for now.

👎 X will soon remove public likes
🔑 Key points:
X's Director of Engineering claims the change is coming soon.
"Public likes are incentivizing the wrong behavior," Wang wrote
you will be able to see who liked your posts
you can see the like count for all posts / replies / etc
you cannot see the people who liked someone else's post
you cannot see others "Liked" tab on their profile
🧐 Why you should care: X believes that removing public likes will actually make users like more posts and that, in turn, will greatly help the algorithm understand that content users want to see more of in their feed.
