First off, TikTok is not giving up: the app is still not available on the main App Stores in the US so TikTok decided to allow users to download it directly from its website. Smart.

In the meantime, Instagram, and Meta, are still working hard and trying everything they can to steal the momentum.

Meta has previewed its version of CapCut, which will enable users to capture and edit videos within the app as well as animate still images with AI.

🎥 LinkedIn is rolling out updates to make video posts more prominent

The full-screen, vertical video display format that’s been all over the network’s mobile app is being brought to desktop. Additionally, the updates include more relevant Discovery recommendations and new video analytics.

⚙️ Threads launched Custom Feeds to the public

Similar to Bluesky’s key feature, the tool allows users to follow themed feeds built by others and pin them to their home screen.

🤝 YouTube expanded access to its Communities tab

The element is an extension of the platform’s Community Posts feature and provides a dedicated space to facilitate expanded channel discussion.
